CGN Trait information

Common root rot (Aphanomyces euteiches)
Trait category:
Pests and diseases
Trait information:
Aphanomyces euteiches is an oomycete that causes seedling blight and root rot of legumes. It is the most important disease of pea, since the inoculum is persistent in the soil, and no resistant cultivars or means of chemical control are available. Scores of M-0905 & M-0906 were combined using the formula M-0905 * (M-0906 + 5). Moderate resistant: <=26; intermediate: <=33; moderate susceptible: <=45. Other accessions having only a M-0580 score (<=70) are included as very susceptible.
