Screening for extreme resistance on samples of 50-100 seedlings, started 3 weeks after inoculation of the seedlings at the cotyledon stage with a spray-gun (Wiersema, 1961; Proc. 4th Conf. Potato Virus Dis. Braunschweig 1960: 30-36). The seedlings were NOT retested by grafting on tomato stocks.
